Ciao, Iscritto
I can’t resist the temptation to anticipate this news.
Jivana Heyman, the founder of Accessible Yoga, is coming back to Europe, for the first time in a few years, with a beautiful program I am working on with enthusiasm. He will be accompanied by Rodrigo Souza, a young internationally-acknowledged Brazilian/Swedish trainer, known for his specialization in Wheelchair Yoga (being in a wheelchair himself).
Here is the plan of their trips to Europe during the week of May 1:
Tuesday, April 30/Thursday, May 2, 2024 – ITALY • ACCESSIBLE YOGA TRAINING with Jivana Heyman, Rodrigo Souza and Alessandra Uma Cocchi. In Roseto degli Abruzzi, on the Adriatic beach. A few details: The Training will begin in the afternoon of April 30 and end at 1 p.m. on May 2. It accounts for 18 continuing education in-person hours + a substantial portion of preliminary study through pre-recorded videos. Language: English (simultaneous translation will be offered to Italians through wireless headsets). Continuing education hours are expected to be accredited though Yoga Alliance International. It is very precious, I must say, to have this Course again in Europe led by a team of such experienced trainers as Jivana and Rodrigo. If you feel it is worthed, please share.
Friday, May 3 / Sunday, May 5, 2024 – ITALY • ACCESSIBLE YOGA RETREAT with Jivana Heyman and Alessandra Uma Cocchi. Same location, Roseto degli Abruzzi, Adriatic beach. It will be a mix of meditation, practice, insights, reflection, sharing and some constructive relaxation. In the spirit of accessibility in Yoga, the Retreat will be open to all, teachers and practitioners. A few details: The Retreat will begin early afternoon on Friday and end at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Language: English (with simultaneous translation into Italian through wireless headphones). This is the first Accessible Yoga Retreat ever held, and hopefully the first of many! If you feel it is worthed, please consider it and share.
The Location • We will be in Roseto degli Abruzzi, Central Italy, on the Adriatic beach, in a holiday resort located within the Borsacchio Natural Reserve, in the province of Teramo. A Spa, beach umbrellas, swimming pool, outdoor and indoor practice spaces. The resort is fully wheelchair accessible. Each housing unit can accommodate from one to four people. Family members are welcome (they may arrange excursions or enjoy relaxation). Full vegetarian/vegan board. Guests will be able to arrive earlier or extend their vacation (Abruzzo sea, mountains, villages and towns are all within a short distance).
Travelling info • Closes airport: Pescara. Train closest stations: Giulianova or Pescara. If you arrive from Rome, take a bus (about 2 hours driving).
Tuesday, May 7 / Thursday, May 9, 2024 – LONDON • ACCESSIBLE YOGA TRAINING with Jivana Heyman, Rodrigo Souza and Alessandra Uma Cocchi. Details to follow.
Updates coming soon on this beautiful program!
In case of interest, SAVE THE DATE! And please share the information with those who may be interested.
A big hug to all!
